As the Senior Data Scientist for the GPTN region at Canva, you will play a crucial role in shaping data-informed growth strategies and understanding user behavior across Germany, Poland, Turkey, and the Netherlands.

In Short

• Craft actionable narratives using data to inspire action.
• Proactively identify growth bottlenecks and user behavior shifts.
• Design and build dashboards for GPTN metrics.
• Define success tracking and measurement frameworks for the region.
• Collaborate with local and global teams to ensure insights flow both ways.
• Support product teams in measuring feature performance and experiments.
• Bring strong SQL and Python skills to manage large datasets.
• Communicate effectively to influence decisions across teams.
• Build tracking frameworks to measure key user metrics.
• Manage ambiguity and take ownership of projects.

Requirements

• Several years of experience in data analytics or product analytics roles.
• Strong SQL and Python data wrangling skills.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills.
• Ability to prioritize strategic initiatives.
• Experience building dashboards from scratch.
• Familiarity with experimentation and A/B testing frameworks.
• Prior exposure to Canva’s data stack is a plus.
• Experience analyzing European markets is a nice-to-have.
• Understanding of mobile analytics is a plus.
