Overview

The IHV Alliance Sales Director is responsible for IHV partner success, leading a team to cover all IHV Alliances worldwide and ensuring partners thrive with Canonical software, solutions, and services.

In Short

  • Build strategic relationships with IHV partners.
  • Grow awareness of open source capabilities on Canonical Ubuntu.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the Linux and cloud software ecosystem.
  • Negotiate contracts and commercial terms.
  • Lead partnerships in APAC, EMEA, and the Americas.
  • Work closely with marketing, sales engineering, and product management.
  • Deliver on targets and objectives.
  • Lead executive interlocks between IHV and Canonical leadership.
  • Travel regularly to drive partnerships in person.

Requirements

  • Experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles.
  • Autonomous and disciplined with a get-it-done mentality.
  • Ability to capture customer requirements and create opportunities.
  • Passionate about Ubuntu products and mission.
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments with measurable goals.
  • Experience with Linux, virtualization, containers, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
