Specification Writer IV - Remote

Overview

This position will perform as a high level specialist who will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write Architectural specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types.

In Short

• Work as part of the project team to produce Project Manuals.
• Author Division 00-14 Architectural sections.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Mentor less experienced Specification Writers.
• Coordinate the Project Manual with a Specification Coordinator.
• Review and provide revisions to project-specific Keynotes.
• Ensure complete and coordinated technical specifications.
• Propose continual development of master specifications.
• Maintain awareness of industry reference standards.
• Participate in progress meetings and educate staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years of related experience.
• Current Architectural or Engineering license required.
• Advanced knowledge in project delivery methods.
• Understanding of Contracts related to Division 00 & 01.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques.
• Advanced technical knowledge and ability to perform QA/QC.
• Must possess business acumen and be a critical thinker.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and BlueBeam Revu.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred.
• Experience with specification editing software required.
