Senior Specification Writer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specification Writer to utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types.

In Short

• Lead specifications writing and management for multiple projects.
• Identify LEED and sustainability measurement methods.
• Collaborate with team members to prepare contract documents.
• Review drawings and project information to write and edit specifications.
• Maintain awareness of industry reference standards.
• Propose development and improvement of master specifications.
• Contribute to regional standards development and training.
• Work with teams across multiple offices.
• Utilize multi-discipline knowledge of architecture.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field + 6 years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship is required.
• 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• CSI Certification (CDT or CCS) preferred.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques.
• Architectural Licensure preferred.
• Experience with Federal Government projects.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledgeable of LEED and sustainability methods.
• Strong experience with MS Office software.
