Senior Specification Writer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specification Writer who will utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types.

In Short

• Lead specifications writing and management for multiple projects
• Identify LEED and sustainability measurement methods
• Collaborate as a team member to prepare contract documents
• Develop detailed, project-specific specifications
• Review drawings and project information for specifications
• Translate project needs into specifications
• Maintain awareness of industry standards and resources
• Propose improvements for master specifications
• Contribute to standards development and training

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field + 6 years of relevant experience
• US Citizenship is required
• 10+ years of experience with 5 years in specification writing preferred
• CSI Certification (CDT or CCS) preferred
• Good knowledge of building codes and construction techniques
• Architectural Licensure preferred
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Knowledge of specification formats (Masterformat, Uniformat)
• Experience with Federal Government projects preferred
• Strong communication skills
