Senior Specification Writer - Remote

Overview

AECOM is seeking a Senior Specification Writer to utilize knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods to write specifications for a variety of complex projects and building types.

In Short

• Part Time Variable role with scheduled hours that may vary.
• Lead specifications writing and management for multiple projects.
• Collaborate with teams to prepare contract documents.
• Review drawings and project information to write and edit specifications.
• Maintain awareness of industry reference standards.
• Propose continual development of master specifications.
• Knowledge of LEED and sustainability measurement methods.
• Good working knowledge of building codes and construction materials.
• Strong communication skills.
• Architectural Licensure preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering or related field + 6 years of relevant experience.
• 10+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in specification writing for various building types.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Knowledge of specification formats – Masterformat, Uniformat.
• Strong experience with MS Office software.
• Knowledge of recent contract laws in construction.
• Knowledgeable of LEED and sustainability methods.
