Overview

This position involves writing specifications for various complex construction projects, utilizing knowledge of construction products, materials, and methods.

In Short

• Work as part of a project team to produce Project Manuals.
• Author architectural sections for inclusion in the Project Manual.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Coordinate the Project Manual for all disciplines.
• Review and provide revisions to project-specific Keynotes.
• Ensure complete and coordinated technical specifications.
• Propose improvements to master specifications.
• Maintain knowledge of industry standards.
• Participate in project meetings and educate staff.
• Assist with shop drawing and product substitution review.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience in the architecture, engineering, or construction industry.
• 3+ years of specifications writing experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and construction techniques.
• Understanding of contracts related to Division 00 & 01.
• Advanced technical knowledge and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, MS Teams, and BlueBeam Revu.
• Familiarity with Autodesk Construction Cloud is preferred.
• Proficiency in specification editing software is required.
