Overview

The Senior Systems Engineer at Ciena will act as a technical resource for customers, focusing on Emerging Internet Content Providers, Data Center Operators, and Content Delivery Operators in the western United States. Requirements

• Strong technical background in networking and telecommunications.
• 7+ years of industry experience, preferably in sales engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with network architectures and automation software.
• Project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple ongoing activities.
• Experience with API and software integration.
• Prior experience with Internet Content Providers is beneficial.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
