Senior Systems Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Managed Services team is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer who can craft and maintain flexible systems that meet the needs of our clients, both internally and externally. You will help to support the operation of a market-leading eCommerce and Digital Presence infrastructure.

In Short

• Maintaining the good standing of the server infrastructure.
• Support and maintenance of systems and infrastructure environments managed for clients.
• Incident Management and proper documentation in ticketing systems.
• Change Management with implementation and backout plans.
• Research and develop new infrastructure technologies.
• Monitoring for and responding to anomalies within the infrastructure.
• Developing and maintaining automation for provisioning and deployment.
• Troubleshooting incidents and problems in platforms supported.
• Mentoring others in understanding technology implications.
• Participating in on-call rotation as part of Global support.

Requirements

• Expert knowledge of Windows PowerShell and Linux shell.
• Expert knowledge of web technologies (web servers, DNS, SSL).
• Experience improving workflow processes.
• Knowledge in deploying and maintaining cloud technologies.
• Understanding of security implications of architecture decisions.
• Practical knowledge of Azure and AWS services.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation.
