Software Engineering Intern - Remote

Overview

This is a full time, remote Summer Internship that can be based anywhere in the United States or Canada. Calix is looking for a Summer intern to join our Products team. In this role, you will be part of a unique and award-winning internship program within the company.

In Short

• Full time remote internship for Summer.
• Work with the Products team at Calix.
• Enhance and expand the capabilities of the in-house test automation framework.
• Design, code, and debug complex software systems.
• Conduct unit testing and integration testing.
• Create technical documentation.
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Support test strategy and automation.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited university.
• Compensation varies based on geographical location.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Preference for Juniors or Seniors with previous work experience.
• Familiar with Java and GO.
• Knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiar with Linux and Windows OS.
• Understanding of Unit Testing principles.
• Basic programming concepts, data structures, and OOP.
• Familiar with GIT.
• Detail oriented with strong communication skills.
• Able to work for the complete summer break.
