Overview

The Technical Support Engineer is a vital resource for answering customer technical inquiries and ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution.

In Short

  • Provide technical expertise in resolving Storage Area Network (SAN) product issues.
  • Support customers, resellers, OEMs, and field personnel with product-related issues.
  • Document customer interactions and troubleshoot issues in a lab environment.
  • Analyze data traces from protocol analyzers.
  • Manage problem resolution plans and communicate outcomes.
  • Record and update service requests in the CRM database.
  • Collaborate with the Sustaining Engineering team for issue escalation.
  • Maintain excellent customer communication throughout the support process.
  • Adapt to new technologies rapidly.
  • Work cooperatively with team members to achieve results.

Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of networking technologies and protocols.
  • Understanding of SNMP monitoring and management.
  • Good knowledge of Linux/UNIX servers.
  • Desirable scripting knowledge.
  • Proven technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
