Data Science Lead - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a Data Science Lead to join our growing BI organization and spearhead the development of statistical and machine learning models that will power predictive intelligence across the company. This role offers a unique opportunity to establish the data science function, drive high-impact use cases, and contribute directly to strategic decision-making.

In Short

• Design, build, and validate statistical, predictive, and machine learning models.
• Partner with BI analysts and Finance to identify opportunities for modeling.
• Work with engineering teams to integrate models into business workflows.
• Lead exploratory data analysis and hypothesis testing.
• Translate business problems into modeling challenges.
• Serve as the go-to data science expert within BI.
• Mentor junior team members and define the long-term vision for the data science team.
• Promote rigorous methodology and transparent communication of findings.
• Stay current with industry trends in machine learning and AI.
• 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics.

Requirements

• Education in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience with data visualization and communication of insights.
• Experience with MLOps and deploying models in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Proven track record of building predictive models.
• Deep understanding of statistical modeling and forecasting.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience in food service or supply chain domains is a plus.
