Payroll Manager - Remote

Overview

ButterflyMX is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to oversee the accurate and timely processing of multi-state payroll.

In Short

• Manage the full payroll cycle for multi-state payroll.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate closely with HR and Accounting.
• Maintain and audit payroll information.
• Recommend improvements to payroll processes.
• Prepare reports summarizing earnings and deductions.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies.
• Calculate journal entries related to payroll activity.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge of payroll functions and payroll taxes.
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll tax regulations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High attention to detail and customer service orientation.
• Experience with a ledger system, Sage Intacct preferred.
• Strong knowledge of general accounting.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree required.
• Proficient in Workday HRIS.
