Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack - Remote

Overview

The Senior Software Engineer plays an integral role in creating and maintaining Business Wire’s multi-lingual, public-facing web sites, client portals, APIs and web services, partnering with various teams to develop complex applications.

In Short

• Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of frontend web applications and backend APIs.
• Create and maintain technical documentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and infrastructure teams.
• Perform code reviews for quality and maintainability.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Provide operational development support.
• Identify architecture and operational improvements.
• Write unit and integration tests.
• Mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years of experience in full-stack web development.
• 5+ years of experience in Java/J2EE and Oracle DB.
• 2+ years of modern frontend development using React.js or similar.
• 2+ years of experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• 2+ years of experience with AWS services.
• Experience with data modeling.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
