Legal Counsel - Remote

Overview

You will have the opportunity to be involved in a very broad range of matters, working across the full spectrum of the business. This will include negotiating commercial agreements and software licenses and working on a broad range of other matters such as IP clearances for our games, data protection, human resources, marketing, facilities and regulatory matters (e.g. relating to the Online Safety Act and the Digital Services Act).

In Short

• Support Build a Rocket Boy’s (BARB) business teams and other corporate functions.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and software licenses.
• Advise on various IP-related matters.
• Support on key projects such as the development of templates.
• Advise on interpretation of legal documents and applicable laws.
• Provide support for transactions, including financings and M&A.
• Manage outside counsel on a broad range of topics.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer admitted in England & Wales, Scotland or another relevant jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years post-qualified experience.
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated and willing to handle a broad range of tasks.
• Some experience working in-house preferred.
• Demonstrable experience in Commercial and IP law preferred.
• Willingness to work outside comfort zone.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interest in video games a plus.
