Senior Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

The Senior Technical Writer at BrowserStack will be responsible for creating high-quality technical content that is easy to understand, while also contributing to the documentation process and style guide.

In Short

• Build high-quality technical content in clear language.
• Create templates for documentation writers.
• Independently own the documentation roadmap.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Design, and Engineering teams.
• Translate code snippets between programming languages.
• Review and provide feedback on other writers’ work.
• Develop a solid understanding of BrowserStack products.
• Utilize IDEs and debug code as necessary.
• Ensure documentation is user-friendly and accessible.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in technical writing.
• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Comfortable with IDEs (VSCode) and APIs.
• Ability to read and understand code in at least one programming language.
• Experience with Markdown.
• Impeccable writing and editing skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
