Data Engineer - Hybrid - Remote

Overview

The Data Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Brook’s data pipelines, warehouses, and architectures. This role transforms raw data into trusted, consumable formats that power analytics, dashboards, AI systems, and operational decision-making across the organization.

In Short

• Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Python or Java.
• Design and evolve schemas in Snowflake for efficient data storage.
• Develop and maintain dbt models and tests for data quality.
• Monitor capacity and performance-tune data stores like PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for scalable solutions.
• Implement validation and tracking for data integrity and compliance.
• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues for reliability.
• Champion best practices for CI/CD and Agile data delivery.

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Python and/or Java.
• Deep expertise in SQL and relational database design.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL/ELT patterns.
• Experience with Snowflake and AWS infrastructure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Collaborative and analytical problem solver.
• Passion for scalable data systems.
• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience preferred.
