Director of Finance/Controller - Remote

Overview

We’re seeking a hands-on Director Finance/Controller to build out scalable financial operations, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership and key business stakeholders to support our next phase of growth.

In Short

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee core financial processes including treasury, AP, AR, payroll, and general ledger.
• Evaluate, improve, establish, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.
• Collaborate on annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and variance analysis.
• Build and manage a lean, high-performing finance and accounting team.
• Support scenario modeling and business case development for strategic decisions.
• Track and analyze financial performance across various departments.
• Partner cross-functionally with all lines of business.
• Work in a dynamic, scale-up atmosphere with autonomy to create meaningful change.

Requirements

• 7+ years of finance and accounting experience, including managerial experience.
• CPA required, with previous big 4 or large CPA firm experience.
• Exceptional analytical, communication, and organization skills.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP.
• Proven ability to translate data.
• Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels.
