Overview

The Senior Director of Finance & Controller role provides an opportunity for a seasoned finance professional and passionate people manager to work across our agency, ensuring the continued sustainment of our financial health and standards, while building the capacity of our team and enhancing our processes and systems.

In Short

• Lead day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Manage the Finance team and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Oversee financial management, including budgeting and reporting.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on strategic financial decisions.
• Provide training to staff on financial resource management.
• Ensure effective management of financial resources.
• Drive equity and inclusion within the Finance team.
• Build relationships across the organization and with external partners.
• Support the Finance and Audit committees of the Board.

Requirements

• 7-10 years in financial leadership roles, preferably in non-profits.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
• Master's degree or CPA preferred.
• Experience with non-profit audits and GAAP compliance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Leadership experience in a mission-driven organization.
• Proven track record of improving financial processes.
• Experience with fund-accounting software, Sage Intacct preferred.
• Ability to build and manage effective teams.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in decision-making.

Benefits

• Salary range: $170,000 - $190,000.
