Overview

The Manager, Real Estate Facilities Operations at Brightspeed is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of facility management services, ensuring safety and operational reliability while managing budgets and leading a team.

• Manage 1.25M – 1.75M SF of owned and leased real estate.
• Oversee 350 – 500 facility locations.
• Handle $7.5M - $10M in operating expenses.
• Lead a team of exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Facilitate corrective repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Administer safety and disaster recovery programs.
• Manage capital and expense projects.
• Interface with various internal business units.
• Travel as required and provide on-call support.
• Develop and maintain capital and expense replacement programs.

Requirements

• College degree in Business, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• 5-10 years of facility or project management experience.
• Prior experience managing people and property remotely.
• Industry certification preferred (e.g., PMP, Real Estate License).
• Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Technical knowledge of building systems.
• Detail-oriented with strong planning skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage vendors and contractors.
• Good understanding of corporate support functions.
