Tax Director - Remote

Overview

The Tax Director at Brex will lead the end-to-end tax function, ensuring compliance with tax records and filings globally while advising executive leadership on tax matters.

• Lead all aspects of tax at Brex, including planning, strategy, financial reporting, and compliance.
• Prepare or manage the preparation of all domestic and foreign tax and information returns.
• Successfully navigate tax audits and examinations.
• Ensure all tax accounts are properly reflected in financial reporting.
• Develop and improve tax systems, processes, and policies.
• Manage partnerships with external tax advisors.
• Collaborate with various functions across the organization.
• Prepare journal entries and perform reconciliations over tax-related accounts.
• Ensure timely meeting of all tax liabilities.
• Handle ad-hoc projects related to tax credits and incentives.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in public accounting or private industry.
• Ability to manage a team and work independently.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• CPA License is required.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
