In Short

• Lead, define, plan, and execute initiatives across the Shared Services team.
• Drive planning and execution of complex technical initiatives.
• Hands-on coding involved approximately 20-40% of the time.
• Manage and develop the team through hiring and coaching.
• Establish standards for high-quality work and coding.
• Partner with engineering leaders to identify project dependencies.
• Own the architecture and evolution of shared services.
• Define and enforce API design guidelines.
• Establish observability practices for shared services.
• Experience leading remote teams.

Requirements

• History of developing software at an enterprise level.
• Deep experience in Python FastAPI, Ruby on Rails, MySQL, and AWS.
• Knowledge of HTTP and REST API principles.
• Strong written and analytical skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguity with open communication.
• Experience in healthcare or regulated industries.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) is desirable.
• Experience with security and compliance controls.
• AWS, Hashicorp, or other industry certifications.
• Empathy with coworkers and customers.
