Overview

The Higher Education Sales Specialist is responsible for achieving textbook sales targets in the U.S., building a robust pipeline of sales opportunities, and analyzing sales data to identify growth areas while building relationships with key decision makers.

In Short

  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline of qualified leads in Salesforce.
  • Identify key decision makers and close adoptions.
  • Build relationships with academic faculty to address teaching challenges.
  • Conduct campus visits and virtual meetings with faculty.
  • Maintain competitive knowledge and market awareness.
  • Provide regular communication on trends and product performance.
  • Collaborate on strategic plans for sales opportunities.
  • Conduct thorough sales analyses and deliver actionable plans.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings as needed.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and emotional intelligence skills.
  • Competitive desire to exceed goals and grow territory.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong prospecting and networking abilities.
  • Positive attitude and self-driven closer.
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented.
  • Passion for sales and people.
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
