In Short

• Assist in handling ongoing litigations and arbitrations in jurisdictions where the business has operations
• Manage legal efforts in response to contentious inquiries, including managing pre-litigious and regulatory matters
• Handle employment disputes and provide legal advice on employment-related issues in the LATAM region
• Take charge of external communication with external counsels and negotiating with the opposition
• Provide proactive, in-depth legal advice to all stakeholders
• Support in the development and implementation of legal strategy
• Assist in negotiation of contracts for different business lines
• Draft and review court and arbitration documents
• Partner with cross-functional teams on legal matters
• Provide legal business partner training and counsel non-legal associates

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer in dispute resolution with 2+ years of experience at a reputable global law firm in LATAM
• Bachelors or Master of Laws degree from a top law school
• Knowledge of financial products and commercial transactions
• Experience with handling disputes for financial institutions and cryptocurrency organizations
• Interest in the cryptocurrency industry
• Solid legal technical expertise and sound business judgment
• Hands-on experience managing complex projects
• Excellent legal drafting and interpretation skills
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Portuguese/Spanish
