Finance Director - Brazil - Remote

Overview

The Finance Director is responsible for the end-to-end financial management of a regulated payment institution operating in Brazil with both traditional banking and digital asset (crypto) activities.

• Lead the company’s financial strategy, planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management processes.
• Oversee controllership, accounting, and financial reporting.
• Act as the primary financial counterpart for regulators.
• Lead treasury, liquidity management, and banking relationships.
• Oversee financial governance of fiat payment operations.
• Manage financial operations related to digital assets.
• Monitor capital adequacy and balance sheet efficiency.
• Ensure tax compliance and effective tax planning strategies.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance.
• Collaborate with compliance, risk, legal, operations, product, and engineering teams.

Requirements

• BA/BS in Finance or Accounting; Master/MBA, CMA or CPA preferred.
• Extensive experience as a CFO, Finance Director, or senior finance executive.
• Expertise in financial reporting under Brazilian accounting standards and IFRS.
• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks applicable to financial institutions.
• Knowledge of fiat payment systems and reconciliation requirements.
• Ability to operate in highly operational environments.
• Ability to work in an unstructured environment and manage multiple assignments.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese.
