HR Advisor - Remote

Overview

The HR Advisor provides customer-focused, comprehensive and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, staff and employees in line within company policies, procedures and legal requirements. You will have a strong generalist skill-set and take a commercial approach proactively facilitating change across the business whilst dealing tactfully and confidently with all key stakeholders. The role covers operational sites in Scotland and the north of England.

In Short

• Provide a dedicated HR advisory service on absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, and organisational change.
• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with service areas and employee representatives.
• Lead on the management of casework related to sickness absence.
• Support the development of a performance management culture within the service area.
• Lead and support HR Business Partners on disciplinary and grievance casework.
• Prepare regular and ad hoc management information reports.
• Provide HR advisory input into service area projects.

Requirements

• Actively studying towards the CIPD (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience providing advice on disciplinary and grievance matters.
• Up to date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Understanding of performance management and employee engagement.
