Backend Software Engineer II (Go) - Remote

In Short

• Develop core services primarily using Golang and PostgreSQL.
• Accelerate foundational services to scale the output of our product teams.
• Resolve issues with previously delivered features.
• Write unit and integration tests for code you create.
• Peer review code developed by others on your team.
• Ensure software is secure and maintainable.
• Work with designers, product managers, and other engineers.
• Encourage automation and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Passionate about working with Golang; experience in additional modern languages is a plus.
• Hands-on knowledge designing APIs (gRPC, Swagger).
• Experience using Docker for local software development.
• An advocate for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD).
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices.
• Experience working in an event-driven architecture.
• Understanding of or experience with modern, scalable system architectures.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in a remote-first environment.
• Exposure to cloud computing platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
