Overview

Beam is seeking a Claims Specialist to join our team, responsible for reviewing claims and determining coverage based on policy provisions and state regulations.

In Short

  • Review claims thoroughly to determine coverage.
  • Process received paper claims and enter them into the system.
  • Handle claims dispositions ensuring correct classifications.
  • Review claims for rejection and error status.
  • Add additional documentation for further processing.
  • Support W9 processing for accurate tax information.
  • Assist with utilization management claims.
  • Work independently with limited supervision.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in claims processing or insurance.
  • Experience with paper claims processing and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with utilization management processes.
  • Experience handling sensitive data with discretion.
  • Strong analytical skills for claim resolution.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple claims.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic startup environment.
