System Architect - Remote

Overview

The System Architect will serve as a technical leader and subject matter expert for the Theater Blood (TBLD) application under the Joint Operational Medicine Information Systems (JOMIS) program, responsible for the end-to-end system design, modernization, and sustainment of a mission-critical medical application supporting Department of Defense operations.

In Short

• Lead the design, enhancement, and optimization of the Theater Blood application architecture.
• Develop scalable, resilient, and secure designs for DDIL environments.
• Define and oversee CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.
• Design and support system integrations with related DoD systems.
• Ensure alignment of data models and technical interfaces.
• Architect secure solutions with Zero Trust principles.
• Support and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation activities.
• Provide Tier 3 architectural support for sustainment issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field required; Masters preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in system architecture, with 3 years in defense or healthcare.
• Expertise in system and software architecture methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-hosted solutions and technologies.
• Familiarity with containerization and microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of cybersecurity design and ATO processes.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance.
