Overview

As a Principal AI Designer, you will lead the charge in designing Axon’s cutting-edge AI-driven solutions, shaping how public safety professionals interact with generative AI and setting the vision for Axon’s products.

• Define and execute a 3-5 year UX vision for AI-driven solutions.
• Lead the entire design process for complex, AI-enhanced workflows.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to influence strategic decisions.
• Conduct field research to understand public safety professionals’ needs.
• Design intuitive, human-centered AI interfaces.
• Champion responsible AI practices and ethical considerations.
• Guide the evolution of Axon’s design systems.

• Facilitate cross-functional workshops and design critiques.
• Act as a mentor to designers and contribute to recruiting efforts.

Requirements

• 12+ years of product design experience with a focus on AI and ML.
• Demonstrated ability to set and execute a UX vision.
• Experience working directly with customers for feedback.
• Strong knowledge of generative AI and advanced front-end technologies.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments.
• Expert knowledge of UX standards and best practices.
• Exceptional communication and influence skills.
• Proven success in mentoring designers.
