Area Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Area Accountant performs accounting activities to record, analyze, and monitor financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

In Short

• Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries.
• Prepares monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Ensures compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Reconciles balance sheet accounts and analyzes financial statements.
• Assists in the management of accounting personnel.
• Supports the annual budget and forecasting processes.
• Assists with internal and external financial audits.
• Responds to information requests from corporate and field management.
• Demonstrates initiative in researching non-standard situations.
• Works effectively in a team environment.

Requirements

• Accounting experience with knowledge of GAAP.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience with general ledger software.
• Effective communication skills across various levels.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Lawson accounting software is a plus.
