Area Accountant - Remote

Overview

The Area Accountant performs accounting activities to record, analyze, and monitor financial information, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies.

In Short

• Compile and analyze financial information for journal entries.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly operational performance reports.
• Ensure proper internal controls are in place.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts and analyze financial statements.
• Assist in managing accounting personnel.
• Support annual budget and interim forecasting processes.
• Assist with periodic financial audits.
• Respond to information requests from corporate and regional management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Accounting experience with a thorough understanding of GAAP.
• Intermediate MS Excel skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills across various levels.
• Experience with general ledger software.
• Experience with Lawson accounting software preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative and research skills.
