Senior Automation Engineer (RPA, Python, UI Automation) - Remote

Overview

Avalara is looking for a Senior Automation Engineer who will help us to maintain automations for Tax Filing system.

In Short

• Deliver high quality process automations and practice industry best practices.
• Join a team of seasoned engineers responsible for delivering solutions in an Agile environment.
• Report to the Engineering manager at Avalara.
• Design Automations solutions using Python, Robot Framework or in-house developed Studio tool.
• Create efficient and scalable automation workflows to automate business processes.
• Promote a Quality First, Zero Defects culture.
• Collaborate with business and partners to identify and analyze business processes suitable for Automation.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for deployed automation solutions.
• Work with teams, platform engineering, business units and product management.
• Communicate issues and dependencies to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field.
• 3-7 years experience with Robotic Process Automation tools like UIPath, Robocorp, Blue Prism.
• Scripting experience in Python or Robot is a must.
• Experience in web-based automation using Selenium is a must.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML is nice to have.
