Customer Reliability Engineer, Infrastructure - Remote

The Customer Reliability Engineer (CRE) team is responsible for the success of customers' usage of the managed Airflow service, ensuring platform availability, predictability, and reliable operations.

In Short

• Learn and build expertise across several software engineering disciplines.
• Gain exposure to product, engineering, customer relationship management, and more.
• Work on side projects contributing to Astronomer’s success.
• Collaborate with customers’ data engineers, system admins, and DevOps teams.
• Own the customer experience and meet SLAs.
• Participate remotely in a fully distributed team.
• Help maintain 24x7 coverage during specified hours.
• Participate in paid on-call rotation for weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable Linux familiarity.
• 4 years of professional experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers.
• Experience with any major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
