In Short

• The Astronomer Customer Reliability Engineering (CRE) team is responsible for the success of our customers' usage of our managed Airflow service.
• CREs operate, monitor, and maintain the platform to ensure availability, predictability, and reliable operations.
• Learn to become an expert on the reliability of Kubernetes and the underlying cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Create strong relationships with customers and help them achieve their reliability goals.
• Work from 9AM-3PM Eastern US, Monday to Friday, with flexible remaining work time.
• Spend up to 25% of your time on side projects contributing to Astronomer’s success.
• Participate remotely within a fully distributed team with approximately 2-4 in-person events per year.
• Help maintain 24x7 coverage through a specified 6-hour pager period during your work day.
• Participate in paid on-call rotation for weekend coverage.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrable Linux familiarity.
• 4 years of professional experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/Containers.
• Experience with any major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
