Be the right hand to a book editor/writer working across multiple publishers and clients, managing administrative tasks and supporting editorial operations.

In Short

  • Manage Google Calendar and scheduling.
  • Translate project scopes into realistic timelines.
  • Maintain trackers for manuscripts and deliverables.
  • Prepare and send invoices in QuickBooks.
  • Support light editorial operations such as fact-checking.
  • Keep tidy SOPs/checklists and propose improvements.
  • Protect confidentiality and handle sensitive materials.
  • Impeccable written and spoken English is essential.
  • 2–4+ years in an EA/operations or editorial coordination role.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace and QuickBooks.

Requirements

  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
  • Comfort learning client-specific rules.
  • Ability to work with some CT overlap.
  • No AI usage for manuscripts/research.
  • Experience in publishing or literary environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like Bonsai.
  • Light research/fact-checking background.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding author/publisher IP.
