Overview

Ashby is seeking a Commercial Counsel to join their legal team, focusing on scalable legal partnerships with go-to-market teams and managing commercial contracts to drive revenue.

In Short

• Support commercial contracting and legal operations.
• Review and negotiate NDAs, MSAs, and vendor agreements.
• Collaborate closely with sales and internal teams.
• Develop scalable legal processes and contract playbooks.
• Implement legal technology to enhance workflows.
• Contribute to various in-house legal matters.
• Work with external counsel as needed.
• Flag issues and escalate appropriately.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 4-6 years of legal experience, ideally in-house.
• Strong commercial contract negotiation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good judgment balancing legal risk with business objectives.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with SaaS and legal tech tools is a plus.
