IT Business Procurement Analyst - Remote

Overview

Ashburn Consulting is seeking an IT Business Procurement Analyst to support procurement processes, vendor management, and budget tracking for IT-related projects in collaboration with The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA).

In Short

• Support procurement processes and vendor management.
• Liaise with internal teams to identify supplier needs.
• Manage project costs and ensure accuracy of invoicing.
• Analyze invoices for accuracy of goods delivered.
• Monitor inventory to ensure positive flow of goods.
• Prepare weekly or monthly status reports.
• Assist in managing project budgets for technology projects.
• Identify inefficiencies in procurement processes.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand procurement requirements.
• Work closely with suppliers and project managers.

Requirements

• 2+ years in IT Finance or IT Procurement roles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
• Knowledge of Microsoft, SharePoint, and Excel.
• Proven experience as a procurement specialist.
• Strong knowledge of IT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Experience with financial applications and project cost management.
• Experience with Earned Value reports and invoice reconciliations.
