Java Software Development Engineer in Test - Remote

Overview

Our client, one of the largest Amazon Web Services (AWS) partners for data services, is looking for Jr to Senior level SDETs to contribute to join their team of technologists to build and contribute to large-scale, innovative projects. The SDET's responsibilities include both software development and testing tasks and focus on the testability, robustness, and performance of production software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process.

In Short

• Understanding the flow of code and how it interacts with different components.
• Creating and executing test cases based on project documents and customer demands.
• Setting up and maintaining test automation frameworks across multiple platforms.
• Investigating customer problems and managing bug reports.
• Coordinating with deployment teams and offering inputs on product design.
• Documenting testing actions in reports.
• Analyzing software systems and enhancing overall design.
• Researching test tools and upgrading practices.
• Managing the quality of production releases.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Strong Java programming skills.
• AWS experience is a plus.
• SQL skills for feature testing.
• Back-end/Data testing experience is a plus.
• Understanding of JavaScript for UI test maintenance.
• Selenium experience for UI Automation.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Excellent designing and programming skills.
• Knowledge of test methodologies and tools.
