Product Developer 2 - Remote

Overview

As a Product Developer 2, you are responsible for managing products from design maker phase (concept) through to pre-production (approved to counter) readiness. Your innovative and solutions-focused approach to development ensures that each product you work on meets Arcteryx design intent and Brand integrity requirements.

In Short

• Executing the development of product from design maker phase (concept) and intent through to production readiness
• Supporting and influencing the development process to achieve commercial viability of designs
• Partnering with Design, Pattern Making and Sample Sewers to ensure concepts meet standards
• Compiling product materials/construction information and maintaining documentation
• Executing to calendar deliverables including concept sample and prototype development
• Contributing to the creation of construction standards with the QA team
• Working with Product Merchandising, Product Creation and Marketing teams
• Communicating opportunities for process improvement
• Supporting Senior Product Developers with special projects
• Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct

Requirements

• 4+ years’ experience in product development with a focus on technical apparel
• Undergraduate Degree or equivalent industry training
• Experience communicating with domestic and offshore vendors
• Experience in product costing and negotiation skills
• Comprehensive understanding of design intent and product lifecycle
• Strong knowledge of raw materials and technical construction
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Proactive in identifying issues and developing solutions
• Goal driven with a results-oriented attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
