Overview

The Manager of Montessori Learning and Research will play a key role in advancing the mission of the American Montessori Society by leading initiatives that support high-quality Montessori practices and collaboration across various departments.

In Short

• Lead Montessori Learning, Research & Innovation Team initiatives.
• Support the Executive Director with special projects.
• Ensure the quality of Montessori practices across all AMS programs.
• Collaborate with membership to create professional development content.
• Oversee AMS’s research initiatives and publications.
• Manage Montessori Action Research Symposium (MARS).
• Develop content for adult learners and educators.
• Coordinate live and asynchronous learning opportunities.
• Assist in the development of research papers and publications.
• Commitment to equity and inclusion in all initiatives.

Requirements

• Passion for Montessori education and movement.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in a Montessori environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• Experience supporting educational research.
• Familiarity with IRB processes.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Interpersonal skills to build relationships with diverse educators.
• Comfortable using productivity tools and learning management systems.
