Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join our team at ALTEN, focusing on high-performance, real-time systems and building robust backend software.

In Short

• Design, develop, and maintain backend software components using modern C++.
• Build and implement algorithms that process data from multiple sensors.
• Develop and optimize real-time image and data processing pipelines.
• Create user interfaces using Qt and QML connected to C++ backends.
• Ensure high software quality through code reviews and testing.
• Collaborate with systems, embedded, and UI/UX engineers.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle.
• Work closely with a distributed engineering team.
• Comfortable working remotely.
• Experience within Defence or Maritime industries is a plus.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with C++.
• Hands-on experience with Qt/QML.
• Background in real-time or embedded systems.
• Ability to work on complex systems.
• Experience with sensor data processing.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
