Privacy Counsel - Remote

Overview

Aledade is seeking a Counsel to join our Privacy Team to provide legal guidance on privacy matters, focusing on U.S. privacy and data protection laws.

In Short

• Provide legal advice on U.S. privacy laws including HIPAA and CCPA.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate privacy risks.
• Assist in reviewing and negotiating data protection terms in contracts.
• Support the development of internal privacy policies and training.
• Advise on data breach investigations and responses.
• Monitor regulatory developments related to privacy and data protection.
• Support responses to regulatory inquiries and audits.
• Help shape the company's privacy strategy.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 4+ years of experience in privacy and/or data security.
• In-depth knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy laws.
• Strong communication skills for translating legal regulations.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• (Preferred) Knowledge of AI regulations.
• (Preferred) Experience with healthcare technology companies.
• (Preferred) Professional certifications like CIPP or CHPS.
