In Short

• Serve as a subject matter expert on U.S. and international privacy laws.
• Lead privacy-related legal reviews of products and features.
• Provide actionable guidance on data subject rights and consent management.
• Support privacy impact assessments and vendor due diligence.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams on compliant data usage.
• Work with compliance and engineering to align legal requirements.
• Assist in investigating privacy incidents and regulatory inquiries.
• Monitor legal developments in privacy and data protection.
• Develop and scale the company's privacy program.
• Engage with cross-functional teams to provide strategic counsel.

Requirements

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school and active license to practice.
• 8+ years of experience in privacy and data protection law.
• Expertise in consumer privacy laws and healthcare privacy frameworks.
• Strong relationship-building skills across various teams.
• Experience with privacy risk assessments and incident response.
• Excellent legal judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Preferred: CIPP certification and experience in health tech.
