Service Reliability Engineer - Remote

Overview

Netskrt is looking for a Service Reliability Engineer to be part of our Live Operations team supporting the growing Customer base for the Netskrt last-mile, edge CDN. This is a remote position that can be based out of Vancouver, BC, AZ, WA, CA or the UK.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in large scale software systems.
• Outstanding knowledge in release engineering and performance optimization.
• Experience as a systems performance or reliability engineer.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix operations.
• Extensive experience in programming/scripting (C++, PHP, Python, Perl).
• Understanding of internet and networking protocols (DNS, BGP, TCP/IP).
• Experience with CDN technologies (Amazon, Akamai, Netflix).
• Good understanding of video streaming protocols (HLS, DASH).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
