HR Coordinator - Remote

Overview

The Refugee Centre is seeking a dedicated and experienced HR Coordinator to support our staff of ~50 people on a part‐time basis. This is a remote role requiring approximately 8–10 hours per week.

In Short

• Manage onboarding and orientation for new employees, interns, and volunteers
• Maintain and update HR policies and procedures
• Maintain employee records confidentially and securely
• Support recruitment processes
• Advise staff on HR questions and compliance issues
• Assist with performance management and staff development
• Address HR matters as they arise
• Process bimonthly payroll in collaboration with finance team

Requirements

• 3+ years of HR experience in a small NGO or non-profit setting
• Strong knowledge of Québec/Canadian employment laws
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to inclusion and diversity
• Fluency in both French and English
• Experience with payroll and HR software (ADP)
