Wind Hub Technician - Remote

Overview

The Wind Hub Technician position is essential for maintaining optimal function and output at wind sites, focusing on turbine operations, safety, and quality control.

• Work with site leadership to execute contractual obligations.
• Perform maintenance, repair, or replacement of turbine parts.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Document all work using computer-based reporting procedures.
• Work with GE’s remote operations center when necessary.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and pass a Technical Knowledge Assessment.
• Ability to work in various environments including industrial and manufacturing facilities.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call as needed.
• Occasional overnight work may be required.
• Relocation assistance provided.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician or similar.
• Completed Wind Certificate Program or Associates Degree in Energy.
• Ability to handle repetitive weight and climb towers up to 300 feet.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Technical Certification in Wind Energy or Electrical field preferred.
• Experience using hydraulic power tools and heavy equipment.
