Overview

The Technical Field Advisor (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for their Steam Turbine Generator System(s), focusing on maintenance and repair while ensuring safety and efficiency.

In Short

  • Provide technical direction for Steam Turbine Generator Systems.
  • Manage maintenance and repair of power generation equipment.
  • Travel 80% annually, primarily within the U.S.
  • Lead execution and oversight of projects on turbine equipment.
  • Participate in pre-outage planning and execution.
  • Direct and oversee repair or inspection procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering to troubleshoot customer issues.
  • Complete required training and maintain competency.
  • Work with various turbine generator equipment and OEMs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Ability to gain access to nuclear facilities.
  • Experience with turbine generator maintenance or installation.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Knowledge of EHS rules and quality assurance processes.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
