Entry Level Technical Field Advisor - Remote

Overview

The Technical Field Advisor (TFA) provides on-site technical direction to customer-owned utility and industrial power plants for their Steam Turbine Generator System(s), focusing on maintenance and repair of equipment used in power generation applications.

In Short

• Manage and coordinate Steam Power site activities.
• Perform on-site installation and preventive maintenance of systems and equipment.
• Respond to emergency repair requests for equipment.
• Provide technical instruction to customer representatives.
• Write technical reports and manage administrative functions.
• Ensure all necessary parts are shipped to the site.
• Supervise critical tasks performed by third parties.
• Travel 80% annually, primarily within the U.S.
• Complete formal training and periodic competency requirements.
• Position is remote within the U.S.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline, or High School Diploma with relevant experience.
• Experience working on customer sites preferred.
• Strong understanding of Steam Turbine and Boiler Operations.
• Technical skills in reading electrical/mechanical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction.
• Successful completion of background check and drug screening required.
