Lead DevOps Engineer - Remote

Overview

Aker Systems is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to help lead the development and implementation of secure cloud environments for data and analytical platforms.

In Short

• Lead the development of secure cloud environments.
• Build, test, and deploy cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
• Contribute to custom test automation frameworks.
• Assist with setup and maintenance of testing environments.
• Support production through incident investigation and resolution.
• Perform routine application maintenance tasks.
• Conduct gap analysis and identify solutions.
• Participate in contingency planning.
• Document functions and changes to modules.
• Mentor and lead the team to meet customer requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role.
• Experience with AWS and cloud environments.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with GitHub/GitLab for source control.
• Experience with CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
• Experience with large-scale databases and distributed technologies.
• Ability to write automation scripts in Bash/Shell or Python.
• Experience in mentoring and leading teams.
